Hey all,

We’re looking for photos of Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, circa 1969-1989 to appear in Alan’s upcoming book, as yet untitled, which will be available in bookstores in the fall of 2014. If you’ve got a photo of Alan, of his family, or of life in Petty Harbour during those years,  we’d love to see it.

If at all possible, we ask for high-resolution digital scans (300 dpi at 6″ x 9″ or higher, but will accept the highest quality that is available to you).  If you know of an archive or a historian with photos, we welcome those suggestions as well. Please email your scanned photos or tips to pettyharbour@alandoyle.ca.

All selected submissions will receive a proper credit in Alan’s book, and a signed copy of Alan’s book in fall 2014.

Hey Dear Readers

Apologies for my larger than usual absences here, but I’ve been writing like a crazy person to meet some self imposed deadlines for the memoir of sorts that I spoke of here a while back. I hope the Twitter feed over at @alanthomasdoyle is keeping us all connected.

Just dropping in here to say some Thank You all for the GBS Birthday wishes. Two days ago was the 20th anniversary of myself and Sean and Bob playing together. Hence the XX Tour and Box Set this year. The shows have been awesome so far and I’m looking forward to the rest.

Rolling to Calgary tonight after two awesome days in Edmonton.
